TSU Faculty of Law Hosted a Meeting of Representatives of the Academic Community, Spanish Experts, and Students on the Initiative of the Anti-Corruption Bureau

On the initiative of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, the TSU Faculty of Law hosted a meeting of representatives of the academic community, Spanish experts, and students.

 

The following topics were discussed during the meeting: strengthening anti-corruption prevention mechanisms, raising awareness, and the importance of the involvement of the academicians in the prevention of corruption. Spanish and Georgian experts discussed their experiences and challenges.

 

The participants of the meeting were: Razden Kuprashvili - Head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau; Tamta Kachkachishvili - Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau; Ana Kalandadze - Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau; Professor Irma Kharshiladze - Deputy Dean of TSU Law Faculty; Assistant Professor Giorgi Dgebuadze - Deputy Dean of the Law Faculty of TSU; J. Santiago Torres Prietos - the former judge in the fight against corruption and other economic crimes, former expert of the Council of Europe Anti-Corruption Group (G.R.E.C.O), founding partner and director of Torres & Oliva Legal Advisory; Jose Maria Ameniero - Head of International Relations of Torres & Oliva Legal Advisory; TSU Faculty of Law Professor Paata Turava and Eka Kardava - the Director of the Research Center of the Parliament of Georgia.
